Whenever I have an extra day off or just have TIME, precious TIME to spend with the familia it makes it harder to go back the following week. I just want to be with the Animalia, with Jimmy, at home, at the drive in, grilling outside, planning an outing. Anything but work. It seems like such a waste of time with so many more important things to be accomplished. Like watching Animalia crawl furiously toward me, focused on my shoes, ready to pull herself up on my skirt or my pant leg.
She does that now, pulls herself up regularly. Sometimes she falls if we don't catch her quickly enough, we almost always do though. She crawls very quickly. She's growing two more teeth. She's starting to wave goodbye and give besitos. She stares at strangers, judging them.
I feel like I'm missing so much. It'll be bad next week, after I have a 3 1/2 day weekend. Just hard.

She's my monster, I called her pansona at first, now her name is Animalia and sometimes Mals. And then came baby #2. First she was Magdi or Mads, now she's called Teeny by her doting big sister. Whatever. I'm really enjoying motherhood. It suits me. So I started this blog to keep track of the Animalia and then later Mads and to have somewhere to talk about how cool she is. Not everyone cares about kids. And I mean that in the nicest way possible.

She does give her Nina besitos. At Target, so I think maybe she was buttering me up to buy her things, but I see past the manipulation and absorb only the love.
*p.s. Have you been by Mona's house to pick up the clothes I bought Amalia at Target?
